Sharif Sehnaoui is a free improvising guitarist. He plays both electric & acoustic guitars, with (or without) extended and prepared techniques, focusing on expanding the intrinsic possibilities of these instruments. He resides in Beirut, his hometown, after spending more than a decade in Paris, where he started his career as an improviser in 1998, playing at Instants Chavirés as a member of several orchestras.

In Lebanon, he actively contributed to the emergence of an unprecedented experimental music scene. Along with Mazen Kerbaj he created “Irtijal” (irtijal.org) in 2000, a yearly international festival that is the oldest improvised and new music festival in the Arab world.
He also runs two record labels: “Al Maslakh” (almaslakh.bandcamp.com) devoted to "publish the un-publishable" on the Lebanese musical scene. And “Annihaya” (annihayarecords.bandcamp.com), focusing on sampling, recycling and the displacement of various aspects of popular culture.

Composer and musician born in 1978 in Beirut, Lebanon, with various musical projects, Jawad Nawfal aka Munma is a well-known figure of the Lebanese electronica and ambient scene. Since the mid 2000s he has been publishing music in projects such as Aequo (with Victor Bresse), Infinite Moment Of Composure (with Liliane Chlela), Tasjiil Moujahed (with Cedrik Fermont), recorded with Mazen El Sayed (El Rass), Elyse Tabet (Litter), Jad Atoui, and many more.
In 2019, he established the label VV-VA (٧٨-٧٧) with Cedrik Fermont in order to publish his own productions as well as numerous collaborations and partners in crime.

٧٨-٧٧ is a home for elusive, left field, and heady electronic music. What started as a space to share experimental side projects and unreleased collaborations within an intimate circle of musicians in Beirut is organically transforming into a fledgling platform that releases peripheral, outcast, and personal pieces or bundles. ... more
